Seascape cottage is situated right on the sea front in the picturesque old fishing village of Portessie, just outside Buckie in Banffshire in the beautiful Highland and Grampian region of Scotland.

It is ideally placed for discovering the best of this area, whether you enjoy golf, walking, whisky, dolphins, bird and wild life, or are simply looking for a family holiday by the sea.
Seascape Cottage by the sea
Seascape has commanding views for many miles across the Moray Firth to Morven and the mountains of Caithness and Sutherland. On a clear day it is possible to see Wick in the far North of Scotland. Portessie Bay itself is full of interest with the famous bottlenose dolphins making regular appearances, not to mention the seals and plenty of bird life. We have our own sandy beaches in the bay, while the sands of Cullen and Lossiemouth are only a few miles away.

Seascape Cottage was built around the turn of the last century by William Garden, a Portessie fisherman. The Gardens were a well-known fishing family and many of the houses along the seafront here belonged to them at one time. Their descendants still live in and around Portessie today.
